Enter the next generation of LED tech with the ShoreLite Vx-2. We have not come across a more handsome light than the Vx-2 nor one more capable. With its newly designed projector-style LED cavity, this brand new pocket light nicely fills the niche between the higher power multi cell lights and single LED pocket lights while staying true to the best aspects of LED torches. Through the use of ShoreLite's digital technology, one AA alkaline cell (included) powers the 2 super bright Nichia LEDs beautifully. Designed from the ground up by one of the world leaders in the manufacturing of sophisticated electronic components and testing gear, the Vx-2 is crafted in sleek design with smart circuitry. It utilizes electronics more common in cell phones than a flashlight and this can be seen in the way the light operates. There's no brighter double LED light on the scene and you'll likely be amazed at its output. The 'step-down' power option on this light will be welcome in many night-acclimated situations too. Why use the juice if you don't need to? The Vx-2 has 2 operating buttons. The first one powers the unit to full power on both LEDs with a nice click. Just press the 2nd button to access one of the the unit's lower power modes (4 in all) and to power it down. What else could you ask for, easy cell access perhaps? Okay, this light delivers there too with 2 oversized screws that are implemented with metal to metal design so that the Vx-2 won't self destruct with repeated opening. But don't plan on doing that too often. You can expect from 11 to 156 hours of light from a single cell depending on power settings. (And unlike button cell LED lights, the power reserve on an alkaline AA cell is many times greater and won't dim just after 20 minutes of use!) The Vx-2 measures .8" X 1.1" by 3.7" long. Though not an underwater light, rubber gaskets are used throughout and the unit is quite weather resistant. Impress your friends and yourself too with the state of the art LED pocket light.
